A little bit
about us
We run collaborative art workshops and community projects that bring people together. From aged care homes or schools, to disaster-affected towns, we use creativity to share stories, spark connection, and make something meaningful, together.
Where creativity
meets community
Unique Collaborations is a community arts practice based on the Mid Coast in NSW, led by artist and facilitator Lisa Hort. Specialising in creative ageing, inclusive workshops and community collaborations arts projects, Lisa brings people together through meaningful, hands-on experiences.
From creative moments in care settings to collaborative art-making with local councils, each project is shaped by the people involved, and designed to foster connection, creativity, and a sense of belonging.
At the heart of every workshop or project is a belief that art doesn’t just decorate life, it transforms it.

Lisa Hort
Founder · Artist · Arts in Health Facilitator

I'm Lisa. I’ve always felt most at home in creative spaces. Where hands are busy, stories unfold slowly, and people remember what they’re capable of.
I started Unique Collaborations to bring more of those spaces into the world.
I work with older adults, community groups, disability services and local councils to co-create projects that matter. Whether it’s a creative workshop in an aged care residences or a public program with locals, my goal is always the same: to make art feel accessible, personal, and powerful.
My practice sits at the intersection of art, community and wellbeing. It’s about helping people reconnect with creativity, with each other, and with a sense of possibility.
Alongside my community work, I also maintain an art studio where I create one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect the same values: care, story, and curiosity.
If you believe that creativity belongs to everyone, no matter their age, ability or background, then we’re already on the same page.
