Tales from Three Countries

Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Yoko Hayashi on a storytelling

project that brought together people living with dementia from three different countries. Yoko, a fellow TimeSlips facilitator whom I met in Australia in 2022, reached out and invited me to be part of this beautiful initiative. I immediately said yes and worked hard within a short timeframe to recruit participants and help shape the story.

Yoko said, “This booklet would not have been possible without the generosity and

involvement of the participants and their families. I’m deeply grateful to my collaborators,

Christina and Lisa, and the other facilitators who joined us in making this project a reality. A

heartfelt thank you also goes to Takako Kanokogi, who designed the booklet with such care

and enthusiasm, despite the time constraints.”
